First day: choose your business type

The platform grew out of restaurant QR menus, but it has long worked for a retail store, a beauty salon, a hotel, an online store, a parcel pickup point and a service business. The business type is chosen at registration (and can be changed later in the location settings): it sets the words in the interface (“dish” or “product”, “table” or “specialist”), the POS mode (tables or counter) and the set of sections switched on from the start.

The platform has 17 business-type profiles. Several profiles share a checklist, while schools, clinic appointments and website-only businesses have additional workflows below. Start with the process you need to run each day.

What is common to everyone#

  1. Registration — e-mail and password or sign-in with Google → Account and sign-in.
  2. Location — created automatically with a default name; rename it as the first step of the readiness checklist on the dashboard.
  3. Business type — chosen in the wizard; double-check it in the location settings if unsure → Settings.
  4. Languages — the panel language and the guest/customer languages; content translations are made automatically.
  5. Subscription — everything works in trial mode at the start; the plan is chosen later → Subscription.
  6. Help — the AI assistant in the panel knows which page you are on and answers “where is setting X” → How to get help.

Everything else is in the checklist for your format.

Company website or blog pages, articles and incoming enquiries Pages and articles, Website builder
Widgets or chat on an existing website customer conversations, booking, orders and forms My website

A mixed business can combine modules: a hotel with food service, a salon selling cosmetics, or a store with a pickup point. Check the app store for availability by business type, country and service. Some sections have restrictions; a toggle does not override them.

Schools and courses#

Choose Education when students enrol in a group for a term and a family pays for lessons. A school combines students and payers, courses, groups, timetables, attendance and a family account. An individual trial lesson can use the appointment book; regular group attendance belongs in the school register.

Availability: the dedicated School section is being introduced. Student, group, timetable, attendance and reporting screens have been implemented; availability depends on the version deployed to your account. Finance and settings are still being completed. Do not treat a missing screen as an error in your business-type selection.

Prepare the information needed for launch:

  1. Courses: title, age range, level, duration and in-person, online or hybrid format.
  2. Teachers, rooms, groups and the weekly timetable.
  3. Students and family payers, including required parental consents.
  4. Pricing: single lessons, packages, monthly fees, instalments and absence rules.
  5. Opening family balances and the process for recording payments.

The upcoming school workflow includes the student/parent Study area, online invoice payment, public timetables and trial lessons, online lessons, materials, homework, notifications and teacher pay. These additions are being integrated and checked before general availability.

Clinic appointments#

Choose Appointment services with the Clinic preset. Configure doctors, their services and schedules, then rooms and equipment. The appointment engine checks the resources required by a service together. Reception can use patient visit history; doctors' access is limited by their role.

This is administrative booking and customer service. Medical records, diagnoses and treatment protocols are outside this workflow.

A website without a physical venue#

For a company website or blog, start with pages, contact details, a domain and the enquiry path. An existing website can connect widgets with one installation tag: chat, forms, callback, booking, ordering, help and consent tools. There is no need to configure tables or a kitchen.

Upcoming capabilities#

Development is expanding schools and group classes, hotel payments and guest self-service, appointment CRM, customer communication automation and accounting. New functions are introduced in stages. A payment contract, external-service account, device setup or local requirement may still need your action after the software is ready. Use the current article for operating instructions and check availability before making a new function part of daily work.

If the business type was chosen wrong#

The business type is changed in the location settings. It renames section labels and the location (if the name is still the default) and changes the POS mode, but it does not delete data: the menu, products, customers and orders stay. Sections switched on manually stay on too.
