Set up this widgetSquarespace · the next step after your portfolio
Add contact options or appointments to your Squarespace site. Choose and configure a widget, then install it through Code Injection on a supported plan. This method does not install widgets on checkout; consent and analytics require a separate order.
No card · a minute to sign up, another for the tag · settings reach your site in 5 minutes
Choose a widget and configure it in your dashboard. Standard widgets share a tag; consent and analytics require a separate installation order.

A paid platform plan is required
Code injection is available on the Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy Squarespace plans.
Squarespace lists Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy plans for Code Injection. Check that the panel is available in your own account.
Platform costs are separate from Meni.ge widget pricing. If your plan lacks Code Injection, do not assume a page HTML block is an equivalent replacement for site-wide installation.
Menu names and plan requirements on this page come from the official help center:

Standard widgets: chat, contact button, appointments
<script src="https://cdn.meni.ge/site/v1.js" data-domain="your-site.com" async></script> Example tag for standard widgets. Use your own dashboard code, not this demonstration domain. To block analytics, follow the separate instructions below. Cookie consent and analytics: a separate installation order →
Choose and enable the widget in your Meni.ge dashboard, then copy your tag from My Website. Set the correct website address.
Open the Code Injection panel in Squarespace website tools. Check that your plan includes it; the official guide linked below provides a direct link to the panel.
Header adds code to the head of site pages. For early analytics blocking, use the separate consent tag and order described below.
Click Save and open the published address. Code Injection is not supported on checkout.
Open the widget, send a test question or try an appointment. Check mobile navigation and forms, then run Check installation under My Website.
Checkout pages do not support this code. Lock page, order confirmation and order status fields have separate purposes; do not duplicate the tag there without a separate check.
For strict opt-in, copy the dedicated consent tag from cookie banner settings and place it first in head, without async or defer, before analytics and advertising scripts. The shared async tag does not guarantee blocking before consent.
<script src="https://cdn.meni.ge/consent/v1.js" data-domain="your-site.com"></script> Check theme code, plugins, GTM and native platform integrations. If the platform cannot run consent before them, an external tag is not enough: configure consent in the integration itself.
In opt-in, known trackers are blocked; unknown scripts need manual markup following the CMP guide. The tag cannot stop code that has already run, server Set-Cookie headers or service workers.
On the published site, open a clean session and Network: before a choice and after rejection, check that trackers intended to be blocked make no requests. Then accept the relevant category, check loading and change the choice. A visible banner and the HTML installation check do not prove blocking.
In site builders your edit lives in a draft: until the pages are republished, the tag is not on the live site.
Admin panel → Marketing → «My Website». Put your site address in the first field and press «Check installation».
The check reads the page’s source HTML and lists the widgets it found. A tag injected through Google Tag Manager stays invisible to it — that is a limit of the check, not of the install.
Install errors and how to fix them — in the help center Installation guide →
Code Injection covers website pages; checkout does not support code. Check the URLs you need, not just the homepage.
For an individual page: Pages → page settings → Advanced → Page Header Code Injection. Avoid duplicating a tag already installed site-wide.
Adding the tag does not migrate forms or schedules from other services. Choose one function to avoid showing two equivalent windows to visitors.
Check Header and connected analytics integrations. The shared async tag and a visible banner do not prove that consent loaded before trackers.
Code Injection is available on Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy plans. See the current Squarespace guide above and check panel access before setup.
Use Page Header Code Injection in the page’s Advanced settings if your plan supports it. This differs from an HTML block in page content.
No. This Code Injection installation path does not add code there. It is intended for website pages.
Check saving, the published address, widget enablement and the correct domain. Open the site outside the editor and check whether code is disabled while editing.
Shadow DOM isolates widget styles. Test your template’s behavior, mobile menu, forms and overlapping buttons; the installation method alone cannot guarantee them.
To block trackers before consent, place a separate consent/v1.js first in head without async/defer. Test loading before a choice, after rejection and after acceptance. Native platform analytics may need separate configuration; a visible banner does not establish legal compliance.
